Kiana ran her big toe across the grooves of the hot water faucet while she leaned her head back against the bathtub. The steam from the nearly scalding hot water ascended into the air as beads of water danced across her curvaceous leg. Inhaling the scent of the peach-scented candles and the red and white rose petals floating in the tub, she hummed softly to the melody of Musiq's b.u.d.d.y. playing on the radio perched on top of the sink. This was the perfect remedy she needed after her last grueling day of sifting through W-2s, 1099-INT forms, and cluttered receipts. Shaking her head in disbelief, Kiana could hardly believe this would be her final tax season with Parker, Hunter and Brennan, LLP, since she was resigning from her job in two weeks.
The bathroom door opened slowly as her husband Gerald entered the room carrying two glasses of champagne and a fruit salad bowl of sliced mangos, pineapples and strawberries on a wooden tray. "Can't get enough of that new Musiq song, huh?" he asked, closing the door with his right shoulder.
She titled her head and smiled. "Mm hmmm," she replied. "You know this is my jam."
Gerald nodded and sat the tray down on the stand.
"Thank you
so much, baby," Kiana said, thinking about how sweet it was of her husband
to surprise her with a romantic evening that catered to her every desires
when she arrived home-from the
lovely bouquet of red and white roses symbolizing his love to the candlelit
dinner for two featuring some of her favorite dishes. It was romantic and
thoughtful gestures that Gerald did for Kiana that made her appreciate and
love her husband for the past three years of their marriage.
He removed and hung his robe on the door. "You are so welcome," he replied. His chocolate brown body was chiseled symmetrically from the pecs on his torso all the way down to his massive quadriceps and bulging calves on those long legs.
Kiana sat up and leaned forward. F*** the champagne and the fruit salad, she thought, I'll take a slice of those tender legs any day.
